To protect our most vulnerable population, we are applying all suggested CDC Optometric Guidelines for our office as well as those proposed by the American Optometric Association. Below you will find listed our office policies and protocols regarding this topic. Our goal is to provide quality and necessary eye care to our community, while protecting our staff and patients. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
- All individuals will be required to wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon arrival, even if wearing gloves.
- All individuals will be screened with questions regarding COVID symptoms and have their temperature taken. Anyone with recent symptoms of sore throat, fever, cough, body aches, loss of sense of taste and smell, or recently returning to the U. S. for less than a two-week period will be asked to reschedule.
- All individuals will be required to wear a mask once entering the doctor’s section.
- All individuals will be allowed to enter the premises for their exam; however, no guests will be allowed to accompany our patients unless the patient is a minor or needs assistance from a family member. In that case, only one family member will be allowed to accompany the patient.
- All patients will be asked to wait outside our entrance doors until welcomed in. There will be signage with directions. You will have the option to wait in your car vehicle if you don’t want to walk around Walmart or our optical. Waiting room chairs will be limited to follow social distancing guidelines.
- All rooms and equipment will be sensitized between every patient.
- All staff, inside the doctor’s area, will be wearing masks.
- We are a shake hands free zone.
